FDC Processes
Register Work Order
- Associates an employee's work activities with a specific work order or job. It links labor hours, materials used, and tasks completed to the relevant work order for accurate cost tracking and production analysis.
- Records the time spent by an employee on a particular work order or task. It helps allocate labor costs, monitor progress, and analyze efficiency for each work order.
Deregister Work Order
- Removes an employee's association with a specific work order or job. It signifies the completion of tasks related to the work order or a change in assignment.
- Ends the time tracking for a particular work order or task. It marks the completion of work and allows for accurate calculation of labor hours spent on the work order.
Register Output
- Records the quantity and details of products or components produced by an employee or workstation. It helps track production output, monitor efficiency, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Captures the time taken to produce a specific quantity of output. It assists in evaluating production rates, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing workflow processes.
Register Consumption
- Logs the usage of raw materials, components, or resources by employees or production processes. It enables accurate tracking of material usage, inventory levels, and cost analysis.
- Documents the time spent by employees on tasks related to material consumption, such as handling, processing, or using materials. It helps monitor resource utilization and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Register Scrap
- Records the quantity and reasons for unusable or defective products generated during production. It helps identify quality issues, analyze production waste, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Tracks the time spent by employees on tasks related to handling or disposing of scrap materials. It assists in monitoring scrap generation rates, analyzing root causes of defects, and implementing corrective actions.
These descriptions illustrate how each action serves a specific purpose within both a factory data capture system and a time data capture system, contributing to efficient operations, accurate record-keeping, and informed decision-making within a manufacturing environment.
