What's new in version 22.0.46.0 of COSMO Mobile Solution

Features and enhancements

The following features are included in this release:

Name Description
Clone configuration The new feature allows users to copy an existing page configuration, enhancing efficiency by enabling reuse and modification without the need to start from scratch. The new function button can be found in the menu bar of Global Page Customizations.
Multiline Entry (Editor) The user now has a multiline option for data input, enhancing the user experience by allowing customization of the number of lines displayed in the mobile application's card view for a selected field.
Split line rework: warehouse/inventory picks/puts The mobile application has been updated to enhance the split line functionality, mirroring its working method in Business Central.
Item Tracking: mass serial no. creation The system has been enhanced to allow simultaneous creation of multiple serial numbers, with the flexibility to use the default number series from the item tracking card or a different format.
Image function rework The application has been enhanced with the ability to capture images and send them back to Business Central, as well as a new signature function, providing users with more interactive and convenient features.
Remove Journal Overview and Clear Page from Function Actions The system has been improved by removing the 'Journal Overview' and 'Clear Page' function actions, which were not in use.
Parameter Card for Functions The recent update allows a card page to open before running a function, effectively transferring relevant values from the card to the function parameters.
Warehouse Reclass. Journal integration with Movement The system has been updated to move Movement Templates and Batches from Users to User Variables. Warehouse Journal Templates and Batches have been made variables as well. It's all handled by the upgrade process after installing the new version. The Movement process of COSMO Mobile Solution is extended with directed put-away functionalities (warehouse reclass. journal).
Align Image functionality with Items feature A page extension has been implemented to address the issue of a favorite image not displaying correctly on the Business Central Items page. This enhancement ensures that the selected favorite image (in the mobile application) is properly shown in both list and card views of a specific item (in Business Central).

Hotfixes

This release fixes the following issues found in the previous version of the app:

Name Description
Require Exp. Date flow field value should be modified The key improvement introduced is the checking of the 'Use Expiration Date' field on the Item Tracking Code table (besidses 'Require Expiration Date'). This change enhances user flexibility, allowing optional input of expiration dates, which was previously hidden due to system conditions.
Metadata refresh is not working in Sandbox multitenant environments (like alpaca) The issue with the metadata refresh not functioning in Sandbox multitenant environments, such as Alpaca, has been addressed.
Cannot change Company in the business Central The key improvement introduced is that users without CCS Admin rights are now able to change the company in the BC.
Warnung

Movement templates and journals will be used as user variables instead of a separate setting on the Mobile Solution Users page. There's nothing to do with that, because the upgrade process will handle the modification of the configuration. If you want to change templates and batches, please look for it among the user variables for the required user.

Warnung

The Previous Image Function, currently applied to the Items page in the base configuration, will be phased out over the next three releases. It will be replaced by the new Image Function introduced in the current release.
