Special Variables and Supporting Codeunits
This section describes the special variables that have been programmed into COSMO Document Configurator and the Codeunits that come with it.
Number of Copies
COSMO Document Configurator has been programmed to set the number of copies to be printed to the variable called NoOfCopies. This variable can be declared to have the system assign it a number during runtime and copies of the document will be printed accordingly. This is an alternative to manually specifying the No. of Copies in the request page when running the report.
Page Number in Layout
The page number as variable PageNo can only be used with the classic render report. With the flow render report, the page number is calculated by RDL and therefore bound on the RDL-control in the header (or footer) section in the Document Layout.
RequestPage Variables in Document Layouts
The request page of a Document Configurator report can be extended by custom filter values.
These values must be passed to the SetRequestPageVariable function and can then be used at any position inside of the Document Layouts.
Supporting Codeunits
COSMO Document Configurator is delivered with numerous Codeunits that are designed to make the setup of some common printouts easier and to perform some modification of data during printing (such as archiving documents, updating print counters, etc.).
