AI Assisted Editor

The AI Assisted Editor offers users the ability to generate or rewrite rich text with context awareness, save and apply AI templates for streamlined content and format style transfers between texts, and create translations of rich text in practically any language. It is available for all Text Module Lines and can be accessed by choosing the AI Assisted Editor or AI Assisted Editor (Line Conversion) action. When opening the AI Assisted Editor, an editor page containing the following elements is displayed:

FastTab / FactBox Description
Configuration FastTab Contains a Task field that determines what will be performed by the AI Assisted Editor. The options are Generate/Rewrite Text, Apply Template, and Translate. Depending on the selected option, task-specific settings are available for configuration.
Editor FastTab Contains two rich text editors in a side-by-side layout. The left Source editor can be used to view and edit the source text that will be used as a basis for the AI task. It can be hidden by choosing the Hide Source Editor action. The right Result editor displays the output generated by the AI task. This output can also be edited manually and will be saved to the Text Module line when closing the AI Assisted Editor and confirming the subsequent save dialog.
Context Data FactBox Displays the context data that will be included when generating text and applying templates. This data is automatically gathered for selected tables based on the context of the current Text Module line. By default, context data is available for Items (including Item Properties), Customers, Vendors, and Sales/Purchase Documents. Context data can be manually edited or added by choosing the Context Data caption of the FactBox and then choosing the Edit action.

Generate or Rewrite Text

  1. In the Configuration FastTab, select the Generate/Rewrite Text option in the Task field.
  2. In the Custom Instructions field, provide instructions for the type and content of the desired text. These instructions are written in natural language and specify, e.g., the desired content, formatting, and style of the generated text.
  3. Choose the Generate action to generate a new text based on the provided instructions and the source text. The generated text will be displayed in the Result FastTab.

After generating a text, a Feedback field will be displayed in the Configuration FastTab. This field can be used to fine-tune the generated result, e.g., by including what specific changes you would like to see in the next result. After providing feedback, a new result can be generated by choosing the Generate action again. This process can be repeated until the desired result is achieved.

Note

If you are satisfied with a generated result, you can save it as a template for future use by choosing the Save as Template action. For more information, see AI Templates.

As described above, the Context Data FactBox displays the context data that will be included when generating text. You can choose to exclude personal information like names, addresses, etc. from the context data by selecting the Omit Personal Information from Context Data option in the AI Assistance FastTab of the Text Module Setup page.

Apply Template

  1. In the Configuration FastTab, select the Apply Template option in the Task field to apply an existing AI Template to the source text.
  2. In the now visible Template Code field, select the desired template. After selecting a template, the instructions of the template will be displayed in the Custom Instructions field.
  3. Choose the Generate action to generate a new text based on the provided instructions, the source text, and the rich text example of the template. The generated text will be displayed in the Result FastTab.

After generating a text, a Feedback field will be displayed in the Configuration FastTab. This field can be used to fine-tune the generated result, e.g., by including what specific changes you would like to see in the next result. After providing feedback, a new result can be generated by selecting the Generate action again. This process can be repeated until the desired result is achieved.

Note

To edit or view the details of AI Templates, access the Text Module AI Templates page using Tell Me. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Text Module AI Templates, and then choose the related link.

If you want to update an existing or create a new template from the current Custom Instructions and Result texts, you can save it as a template by choosing the Save as Template action.

As described above, the Context Data FactBox displays the context data that will be included when generating text. Translate Text

  1. In the Configuration FastTab, select the Translate option in the Task field.
  2. In the now visible Target Language field, select the target language.
  3. Choose the Generate action to generate a translation of the text in the Source editor and display it in the Result editor.

After generating a translation, a Feedback field will be displayed in the Configuration FastTab. This field can be used to fine-tune the generated result, e.g., by including what specific changes you would like to see in the next result. After providing feedback, a new result can be generated by choosing the Generate action again.
