Prerequisites
No series
A number series must be defined for the numbering to be used for the tours. The number series must have a starting number and it can be used when creating the logistics tour on the tour card.
Logistics tours
A tour is used to optimise the work in the warehouse by summarizing the reception preparation based on certain criteria. This criteria can be defined on the Tour card itself.
The tour card consists of 2 parts: header and lines. On the card, only the header data can be updated.
The tour card can be opened directly from menu or from the Logistics tour list page. On the tour list page it is possible to chose the create new tour as well.
The tour card header contains information about the shipping agent, the date of shipment and the type of shipment.
The tour number is assigned automatically based on the No. series selected at the tour creation.
The Tour type can be inbound or outbound, during creation it is „inbound” by default and must be changed manually (in case of outbound tours).
The status is new when creating and when it is finalized, it can be released. In this case, this is not possible to change data in the header and line fields, and cannot add new line.
The tour date defines when it has to be completed.
The tour card lines are updated from the warehouse request line table and cannot be changed manually, it is only possible to delete lines.
The Shipping agent information is synhronised between the request line and the Tour. It is not possible to assign a Tour to a line that has different shipping agent information.
Tour Lines data is grouped according to Destination From/to. You can see one main line per Destination From/to, and below the detailed information lines.
Main lines’ type is group, and detail lines’ type is line.
Process
The Inbound warehouse request line page function Assign Tour name allows us to create tour lines from Inbound warehouse request lines.
When you select the Assign Tour function, the Tour list opens, and you can select a Tour.
After selecting the Tour nbr, it is added to the warehouse request line table in “Tour” field and the tour card can be opened.
If the marked line has Tour No. already, user should get error message:
“The line is already assigned to the Tour no.”
