Task Management - Introduction
Task Management in the Role Center
You can access tasks directly from the role center.
You find the following tiles, below please review the differnt task statuses.
Status | Description |
---|---|
Open | Tasks that are open but not in progress yet |
In Progress | Tasks that are currently in progress |
Overdue | Tasks that have a due date which is prior to the workdate of your session |
Completed | Tasks that have been completed |
Unassigned | Tasks that have not been assigned yet |
Task List
The Task List is the central instrument to manage your implementation workload.
Task Card
Under the function Card you receive the following information about your task.
Field | Description |

Description | Short Description of the task, please refer to the sections below to see how to get detailed information about a task. |
Status | Status of a task, please see table above for details. |
Effort (Hrs) | Original Effort for a task. COSMO CONSULT estimates the effort based on experience, this value might differ from company to company. You can adjust this value according to your own estimation. |
Remaining Effort (Hrs) | Remaining Effort for a task, this should be updated once progress is being made. The system will update the Completion % automatically when a value is entered. |
Completion % | Completion % for a task, this should be updated once progress is being made. The system will update the Remaining Effort automatically when a value is entered. |
Due Date | Due Date for a task |
Company | Company for which this task is relevant |
Functional Area | Functional area, i.e. Finance, Sales, Purchasing. This allows to filter tasks by department. |
Role | The Digital Consultant suggests roles in your company that should be working on this task. You can change this value to your needs. The system allows to automatically assign users based on their primary role in your company. So, once a solution has been downloaded, you can automatically assign users in a batch and change manually where required. For this, use the action Assign Users. |
General Responsibility | In case you are working with implementation partners on a project, you can use this field to identify whether a task is assigned to someone in your company or to an implementation partner. |
Work Type | Allows to differentiate differnt work types, i.e. system setup, training, data migration. This allows to track where is most of the work left. |
Assigned to | The user who is assigned to this task |
Task Status Update
You can update the task status individually by changing the task status field.
To update the status of multiple tasks at once, select multiple records.
Select a line and use the Shift key to select another. Then selection boxes appear at the beginning of the line with which you can select further lines.
You can change the status of all marked lines using the action Update Status.
Working on Tasks
Within your task list, you can access all available contents of the tasks assigned to you. In the TASK column you will find a more detailed explanation and in the ASSETS column the associated working notes (videos, explanations, etc.) available to you for implementing the task.
If you call up the assets via "Show", they appear in a separate field. You can call up the contents via "View assets".
You can use the action Show page to go directly to the context within the application to implement directly in the system what you have learned before. For example, if you are supposed to set up Company Information in the system, the Show Page button will take you to the place where you can set up these data directly. You will not lose time searching for the right place in the system.
User Assignment
You can assign a user manually or use the Assign Users action. In case you have assigned roles to the team members, the system will automatically assign users according to their roles. This will save you a lot of time since you do not have to update tasks individually.
Several tasks can also be assigned collectively to a user by marking them in the same way as "Task status update".
