DMS Setup
The DMS Setup page contains all the necessary configurations for COSMO Document Management System. The DMS Setup page is accessed using Tell Me. Choose the icon, enter DMS Setup, and then choose the related link.
When the DMS Setup page is opened for the first time, the setup initializes itself. The setup contains all important global configuration for COSMO Document Management System. Some fields are set by default but can be adjusted as needed.
Duplicate Handling
Determine how duplicate file names will be handled in the target document library and inside the SharePoint folder. The options are:
- Setup – This option must not be selected. The Setup option is used in the Settings FastTab of the DMS Content Types.
- New Version – Creates a new version for the uploaded document. If Versioning is disabled in the document library, the existing document will be overwritten.
- Timestamp – Appends a timestamp at the end of the new file’s name and before the extension: <Year>-<Month>-<Day> - <Hour>-<Minute>-<Second>, for example Bicycle 2019-04-03 11-23-54.bmp.
For more information regarding Duplicate Handling, see DMS Content Types.
Report File Name Formula
Define the formula to generate the file name when automatically uploading a report. Possible variables are [RECORDID]
, [REPORT.ID]
, [REPORT.NAME]
, [REPORT.CAPTION]
, [TODAY]
, [TIME]

and [USERID]
. An example for a formula would be [RECORDID] - [REPORT.ID].pdf
.
