Role Centers
COSMO EDI includes the following Role Center pages that have been set up as Profiles (Roles):
- 5309962, EDI-Administrator
- 5309964, EDI-Purchasing Manager
- 5309963, EDI-Sales Manager
- 5310452, Transport
EDI-Administrator Role Center
The EDI-Administrator Role Center provides the most efficient COSMO EDI user experience for managing the administration of EDI processes including general setup (master data, file transfer), EDI Partners and Mappings, and all other necessary EDI setup areas, including Automotive and Transport settings (if using).
In addition to various actions, such as creating partners and export/import paths, you also have direct access to the EDI Partner Data Mappings and EDI Initialization functions as well as the EDI Setup page.
The Activities part has cues for EDI Journals with data and errors. In the Insights part, you can set your commonly used EDI Journals.
EDI-Purchasing Manager Role Center
The EDI-Purchasing Manager Role Center provides the most efficient COSMO EDI user experience for EDI processes relating to purchasing, including quick access to locations, items, vendors, and purchase documents, as well as EDI partners, import/export mappings, import/export paths, journals, and inbox/outbox messages.
Additionally, you have direct access to the EDI Initialization and EDI Partner Data Mapping actions.
The Activities part has cues for EDI Journals with data and errors. In the Insights part, you can set your commonly used EDI Journals.
EDI Sales Manager Role Center
The EDI Sales Manager Role Center provides the most efficient COSMO EDI user experience for EDI processes relating to sales, including quick access to locations, items, customers, and sales documents, as well as EDI partners, import/export mappings, import/export paths, journals, inbox/outbox messages, protocols/protocol lines.
Additionally, you have direct access to the EDI Initialization and EDI Partner Data Mapping actions.
The Activities part has cues for EDI Journals with data and errors. In the Insights part, you can set your commonly used EDI Journals.
Transport Role Center
The Transport Role Center (cc|transport for Packages and Transport Orders) provides the most efficient COSMO EDI user experience for EDI processes relating to transport, including quick access to setup (shipping agents, shipping agent means of transport, shipping types) and master data (customers and items) as well as packages/item packages, transport orders, and posted transfer shipments.
In addition to various actions, such as creating transport orders, you also have direct access to the Transport Initialization and Package Trackings functions as well as the Transport Setup and Transport Report Selections pages.
In the Insights part, you can set your commonly used customers and items.
To apply a role center
- Choose the
icon and then select My Settings from the menu. Alternatively, you can use the Tell Me feature. - In the Role field, choose the ellipsis button.
- In the Available Roles page, select EDI-Administrator, EDI-Purchasing Manager, EDI-Sales Manager, or Transport and then choose the OK button.
- Choose the OK button to close the My Settings page and save your changes.
You can also assign roles directly to users in the User Settings page.
