Block Machines for Overdue Maintenance

There are times when it becomes critical if maintenance or service is overdue. In these cases, you can prevent the rental of the machine, machine component, or supplementary part if the maintenance cannot be performed in time.

Setup

In the Rental Setup page, define values in the Service Item Buffer Period Type and Service Item Buffer Period fields (date formula or percentage) and as well as the Rental Block Location Code and the Def. In-Transit Location Code fields.

To run the Block Overdue Rental Items batch job

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Block Overdue Rental Items, and then choose the related link.
  2. In the No. field, enter the number of the machine, machine component or supplementary part.
  3. Choose the OK button.

Running this batch job:

  • turns on the Blocked toggle in the Rental FastTab on the Machine Card, Machine Component Card, or Supplementary Part Card.
  • transfers the machine, machine component, or supplementary part to the designated blocked location.
  • updates the Blocked Service Items part in the Role Center with the blocked machine, machine component, or supplementary part.
