Define Service Intervals
In the Machine Type Card, Machine Component Type Card, and Supp. Part Type Card pages, the service intervals are defined in the Service Intervals FastTab. The information entered here will be copied to the Machine Card, Machine Component Card, and Supplementary Part Card pages upon creation but can be changed as needed.
Service Intervals FastTab
The fields on the Service Intervals FastTab are described in the following table.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Order | Specifies the service interval order. |
Next Order No. | Specifies the next service interval order that will be used. |
Billing Unit | Specifies the billing unit that will be used for this line. |
Quantity | Specifies the amount of the billing unit. |
Standard Service Code | Specifies the type of service to be performed. |
You can define several service intervals at the same time.
Example
You have two orders based on months and hours. The first order includes basic maintenance after six months or 4800 hours and the second requires more in-depth maintenance after the first year or 10000 hours.
Order | Next Order No. | Billing Unit | Quantity | Standard Service Code |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | MONTHS | 6 | BASIC |
1 | 2 | HOURS | 4800 | BASIC |
2 | 1 | MONTHS | 12 | EXTENSIVE |
2 | 1 | HOURS | 10000 | EXTENSIVE |
Depending on the counter values in the machines, machine components, and supplementary parts, these service intervals are used to schedule the next maintenance required:
- If no service has been performed, the first order information will be used.
- If the first service has been performed, the second order information will be used.
Plan Upcoming Service
The defined service intervals are used with fields on the Machine Card, Machine Component Card, and Supplementary Part Card to store previous and plan upcoming service needs. In the Details FastTab on any of the cards, enter a date in the Installation Date field to update the Next Service Date, Next Service Interval Order, and Next Counter Value fields with the upcoming service information. The previous service information is updated once a service order is created.
Notă
If necessary, you can modify the Next Service Date by changing the Installation Date and then choosing the Update Next Service Date action.
Example
Using the same example information above, you enter May 1, 2023 as the Installation Date. Based on the service intervals, the fields in the Rental FastTab are updated with the initial values because no other values exist.
Field | Value | Comment |
---|---|---|
Last Counter Value | / |
No counter information exists yet. |
Next Service Interval Order | 1 | Number of the initial Service Interval Order since no service has been performed yet. |
Next Counter Value | 4800 | Initial service is required once this number of hours has been reached. |
Next Service Date | November 1, 2023 | Initial service is required six months from installation date. |
With these settings, an initial service is required for this machine, machine component, or supplementary part either six months from the installation date or when it has been used for 4800 hours – whichever comes first.
