Allocate Projects

When a PaC Project is created from a BoQ Project, all BoQ positions are transferred to the PaC Project. However, the positions must be assigned manually because it is possible to have BoQ positions split for processing between multiple PaC Projects.

The allocation of BoQ positions to PaC Projects is defined in the Assigned PaC Project No. field in the BoQ Budget Calculation. If the position is a top-level, all lower levels will be automatically assigned the same number.

To allocate to a different PaC Project, enter the relevant number in the field. To remove the allocation of a BoQ position to a PaC Project, clear the field. Once the calculation groups and material demand has been added to the Structural Plan, the other allocation fields in the BoQ Budget Calculation will be populated. For more information, see Structural Plan.

In the PaC Project, the number of assigned positions is visible in the Allocated Projects page, accessed by choosing Build Execution > Allocated Projects on the Projects FastTab in the Construction Project page.

The No. of Assigned Positions field indicates how many have been assigned to the current PaC Project, and the complete number of positions in the BoQ Project are displayed in the Total No. of Positions field.

To view the assigned positions for the project, choose the value in the No. of Assigned Positions field to open the BoQ Position List.
