Product Configuration Card

The Product Configuration Card shows the current settings of a profile.

In the Profile ID field, enter the relevant profile for the configuration.

When a new Product Configuration Card is opened, all COSMO CONSULT product/module fields are empty. These fields are used to set a combination of COSMO CONSULT products/modules that should be enabled by configuration. You can select an action for each COSMO CONSULT product/module but it is only necessary to enable the ones that are needed.

The fields on the Product Configuration Card are described in the following table.

Field	Description
Profile ID	Indicates the profile to which all enabled COSMO CONSULT products/modules will be applied.
[Product or Module]	Determines the action to be taken for the COSMO CONSULT product/module. The options are: - Enabled: all controls and actions added to standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pages by the COSMO CONSULT product/module will be enabled. - <Blank>/Disabled: all controls and actions added to standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pages by the COSMO CONSULT product/module will be disabled. As soon as a COSMO CONSULT product/module is set to Enabled, the visibility is immediately activated.

Description

Profile ID

Indicates the profile to which all enabled COSMO CONSULT products/modules will be applied.

[Product or Module]

Determines the action to be taken for the COSMO CONSULT product/module. The options are:
- Enabled: all controls and actions added to standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pages by the COSMO CONSULT product/module will be enabled.
- <Blank>/Disabled: all controls and actions added to standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pages by the COSMO CONSULT product/module will be disabled.

As soon as a COSMO CONSULT product/module is set to Enabled, the visibility is immediately activated.

Note

Some products are used in multiple products and will show as Enabled when set within one product. For example, COSMO Calculation can be enabled on the Advanced Manufacturing Pack Configuration - Configure to Order FastTab and then will be set as Enabled on the Advanced Manufacturing Pack Configuration - Process Manufacturing and Additional Product Configuration FastTabs as well.

Additionally, since profiles are designed to provide role-specific functions, you can also use the Product Configuration Management tool to add complete COSMO CONSULT product/module functions to particular profiles. For example, adding COSMO Purchase Quotes Manager functions (actions, controls, fields, etc.) to the existing CCS PR PROJECT MANAGER profile, or only adding COSMO Calculation functionality to the Order Processor profile if it does not need manufacturing functions.
